Will enjoys playing a variety of music on the accordion, French being one of his favourite styles. Will can perform solo or with his band which consists of accordion, guitar, double bass and drums. This provides an authentic sounding French band. Will plays the repertoire from Edith Piaf ( La Vie en Rose, Non je ne regrette rien ), Maurice Chevalier ( Gigi ), Charles Trenet ( Boum, Que reste-t-il ), and Jacques Brel ( Ne me quitte pas ). He is also performs traditional French Musette ( Rue Pigalle, La Valse des Guingettes, Dédé de Montmartre, Sous le Ciel de Paris, etc. ), This is particularly suitable for gala dinners and promotional events.

Will’s reputation for French Musette has grown over the past few years due to appearances such as the accordionist in Noel Coward’s musical ‘Bitter Sweet’ (Kings Theatre Edinburgh), guest appearance at the Monaco grand prix with Murray Walker and special guest on Chris Evan’s BBC Radio 2 show.

Contemporary Ceilidh band - A modern approach to traditional music.



Will and his contemporary Ceilidh band will play dances such as the Dashing White Sergeant, Gay Gordon’s and Strip the Willow with a modern twist. The band usually operate as a three piece, with Will on accordion, a keys player and a kit drummer. Bass and/or fiddle can be brought in to add to the groove. The versatility of the trio means they can play the Dashing White to a samba rhythm, Gay Gordon’s as a swing number, Canadian Barn Dance reggae style and a rocking Strip the Willow.

The spontaneity of the band is perfect for Ceilidh dancing, with lots of different rhythms it makes it more fun for people who have limited experience of this kind of dancing and can provide something for every style. Will can walk you through each dance and his sense of humour will shine through, he is a strong believer in keeping things light hearted and fun. With special intros to the dances such as Robbie William’s “let me entertain you”, Dave Brubeck’s “Take Five” and “Mission Impossible” this is Ceilidh music with a difference.

The band always strive to enjoy themselves as much as their audience. Will uses a Nexo PS8 sound system which is famed for its clear high quality sound, this guarantees hearing the band at its best.

As a professional pianist, Will has worked on a variety of different projects over the last decade, the most recent and continuous has been his time served on the Cruise Ship Hebridean Spirit as Musical Director. During this time he played everything from Jazz standards to show tunes and accompanied visiting performers whatever their style.

Recently, Will has been playing for weddings, corporate functions, and private parties. As well session/recording work with various artists.
